Blade Club coaches have successfully coached many students from our schools to competitive success. In most competitions, Blade Club and its affiliates will perform very well, winning a lion's shares of medals. Read more to see our list of medals in 2009 and 2010.


In 2009 alone, some of the more notable results our young fencers (ages 9-19) have obtained include:

Gold for Men's Foil Team, Silver for Men's Foil Individual @ National Novices 2009 (Ngee Ann Polytechnic).
Gold for Women's Foil Individual, Silver for Women's Foil Team @ National Novices 2009 (Ngee Ann Polytechnic).
Gold for Men's and Women's Sabre Individual and Team @ National Novices 2009 (Raffles Institution (Junior College)).
Silver for Men's Sabre Individual @ National Novices 2009 (Yishun Junior College).
Gold and Silver for Men's Individual Epee @ Interschool 'C' Division 2009 (St Joseph's Institution).
Gold, 2 Silvers, 2 Bronzes @ Touche JR Grand Finals (Malaysia) 2009.
Golds, 3 Silvers, 3 Bronzes @ Singapore Minime Fencing Championships 2009 (U12 and U14).
Golds, 1 Silver, 5 Bronzes @ YMCA Cup 2009 (U10, U12, U14 and Open competitions).
Golds, 2 Silvers, 2 Bronzes @ Ngee Ann Open 2009 (Open competition, comprising mostly students).
Golds, 3 Silvers, 6 Bronzes @ Raffles Invites 2009 (Mostly 'A' Division participants and students from polytechnics and universities).
Golds, 3 Silvers, 2 Bronzes @ DP Invites 2009 (Mostly 'A' Division and 'B' Division participants and other students).
Golds, 3 Silvers, 4 Bronzes @ Hwa Chong Fencing Open 2009; we were in the finals for all 8 of the events where we had representatives from various schools, taking 1st in 5 and taking 2nd in 3 ('A' Division, 'B' Division, and 'C' Division).

Blade Club is having a very strong showing for the 2010 competition season:

7 Golds out of a total of 12 (individual and team events) for the National Novices 2010 – the winners are students from our many affiliate schools. Other than the winners, we also managed numerous Silvers and Bronzes.
3 Golds out of 6 at the National Junior Trials and 2 Golds out of 6 at the National Cadet Trials 2010.
Blade Club's schools and private students (representing their schools) won a total of 14 out of the total 36 Golds in the 2010 Interschool Fencing competition in the Boy's and Girl's 'A', 'B' and 'C' Division. Two of our schools, SJC and PRC, also won overall titles in the 'B' Division.
