National Champion, Top Men's Sabreur in Singapore 2005-2010

David started fencing in 2001 at Raffles Junior College. Very quickly, he performed very well, winning 3rd (Individual Men’s Sabre) in Novices 2002 and joined the National Sabre Team in 2003. Since then, he had trained intensively with the National Team and had been representing Singapore in overseas competition since 2003. His results include Gold at Hong Kong Open 2007 as well as multiple medals at the Australian Open, South East Asian Fencing Championships and Fencing Singapore International. He is a graduate of the Singapore Management University with a Bachelor of Social Science and was the top ranked Men's Sabre fencer in Singapore from 2005-2010 before his retirement in 2011.

He is a NCAP certified coach, has First Aid certification, and is also a registered coach under the SSC/MOE Sports Education Programme (SEP).
