30 years in coaching, Specialist in education and coaching methods, Coach for beginning coaches, ex-Chief Coach of Portugal Epee Team (Junior and Senior), Students include members of Russian National Team, Portugal National Team, and Tunisia National Team. Students place among Top 8 in world competitions, one student was Silver medallist (Men's Epee) at the World Championships.

Alex graduated from the North Ossetian State University Degree in Physical Training. Starting 1984 up to 1992, Alex has been coaching fencing at junior National Team and was second coach of the senior National Team in Russia. He continued to coach the Senior Men's and Women's Epee teams in the Olympic Reserve Center at Vladikavkaz from 1992 to 1999. From 1999 to 2002, he becaome a specialist in educational and coaching methods and was consultant on a beginner's coaching course.

From 2003 to 2006 he became the Chief Coach of the Junior and Senior Epee teams in Portugal. There, he helped to train several athletes to competitive success, including Helder Borges (6th place in individual events at the Junior World Championships) and Joaguim Videira (6th place at European Championships and 2nd place at World Championships), as well as other members of the Portugal team who attained success at World Cup events.

Briefly from 2007 to 2008, he coached the Tunisian National Team where he coached athletes to medal-winning performances in competitions of the Africas and the Mediterranean.

Apart from his degree in Physical Education, he has First Aid certification.
