Former National Coach for Romanian Cadet and Junior and Turkish Senior Team

Coach Marin started fencing at the age of 9 and competed internationally from 1982 - 1995, winning various medals at the Romanian National Championships and International Competitions. He has been coaching since 1995, and many of his students have gone on to compete at the world level. His student's results include Gold in the individual and team Men's Sabre event at the Balkan Championship in 2004 and Silver in the individual Men's Sabre event at the European Junior Championships in 2005.  

Marin graduated from the National Academy of Physical Education and Sports in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Sports) Equivalent) and majored in Fencing.
