| Two Blade Club fencers, Lim Wei Hao and Liane Wong, were chosen to represent Singapore in the recent Youth Olympic Games held in Singapore. We are pleased to announce that both fencers performed admirably in their respective events, managing to get into the list of the top 8 fencers for Men's Epee and Women's Foil respectively. Coach Nontapat Panchan won the Men's Foil individual event at the Fencing Singapore International 2009, defeating a Malaysian fencer in the final. Representing Thailand, Coach Non also won in the Men's Foil team event along with his Thai teammates.

| Congratulations to our young fencers who did well at the Touche JR Foil Grand Finals 2009 held at the Garden International School on 4 to 5 July 2009! Blade Club won four Golds (out of a possible six) in the Selangor Open 2009. Despite fielding a relatively smaller number of fencers compared to some other clubs that went up to Malaysia, we came up tops in the medal haul.
