Congratulations to our fencers from Blade Club at Hong Kong Open 2009! This was an excellent competition in terms of results, with 2 Golds and 1 Silver won by Blade Club fencers who were representing Singapore.

Lim Wei Wen was 1st in Men's Epee Individual at Hong Kong Open 2009. In the finals, he narrowly defeated defending champion Law Chun Kit (Hong Kong) and brought back to Singapore an Epee gold medal, the first time in many years this has been won by a Singaporean. Wei Wen commented that Mr Law is a very experienced fencer and he was fortunate to have the opportunity to spar with such an opponent.
