Blade Club fencers did extremely well at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Open 2009, getting 4 Golds, 2 Silvers, and 2 Bronzes out of 6 events. This was an open competition, comprising mostly students aged 17-20 (JC, poly, and university). Despite being an Open competition, Blade Club entered all of the youngest fencers in the competition. (The youngest were 9, 11, 12 and 14, but between them these young fencers won 2 Silvers!) We congratulate all of our winners!
