Fencing Training Camp 2010

The Blade Club Fencing Training Camp (FTC) 2010 will be held from 1 August to 9 August (dates have been changed from 30 July to 7 August as of 12 June), right after the European Championships held in Leipzig, Germany (16 July to 22 July) and before the Youth Olympic Games held in Singapore (14 August to 26 August). The FTC2010 is targeted at intermediate to advanced fencers from the Asia and will be an intensive training camp designed for exposure to world-class fencers and high-impact training. The camp will be held in Singapore's shopping district, Orchard Road.

The invited athletes and guest trainers/sparring partners for the FTC2010 will be world-level fencers from Europe, including two Cadet Women Foilists from Germany, as well as Simon Senft, Richard Kruse, and Laurence Halstead.

Sessions: 15 sessions of 2-3 hours each, 35 to 40 hours of training in total.
Place: *SCAPE Youth Space, 2 Orchard Link
Participation: Fencers from Singapore and other countries.
Pricing: SGD600 (full camp fees) SGD350 (partial camp fees for evenings/weekends only).
Accomodation: The camp organizers will assist in booking accomodation and transport, costs to be borne by participants.

The FTC2010 is targeted at intermediate to advanced fencers from the Asia and will be an intensive training camp designed for exposure to world-class fencers and high-impact training. The primary focus of the camp will be Foil fencing, but fencers from all weapon groups are welcome. There will be designated times and areas for sparring dedicated to all weapon groups.
