"The 2010 Youth Olympic Games will see some 3,200 athletes aged between 14 and 18 competing in 26 sports. Among them will be Singapore's brightest talents. The Sunday Times' Jeanette Wang presents 10 young athletes likely to shine" And we are extremely proud that one of our foilists, Liane Wong, has been featured in the Sunday Times. We sincerely wish her all the best in her future endeavours and we are confident that her talent, efforts and determination will see her through to greater heights. And to quote the Sunday Times, "Pint-sized and pretty, this CHIJ Toa Payoh Secondary 2 student has been tipped for stardom by Singapore's fencing fraternity. Last Friday, the youngest of three fencing siblings showed her potential by clinching the bronze medal in the Under-22 women's foil event at the Danga Bay Sports Festival in Johor Baru, Malaysia. En garde - and look out for Liane." Source: Ten for 2010, Sunday Times 24 Feb 2008 |
